A Time to live, A Time to die…

Guiding Light today was about letting go. The entire town of Springfield is still mourning the loss of Gus. Natalia was going to have Gus a small memorial but Harley knew that Gus deserved so much more. Last week Harley planned out and made all the arrangements for Gus’ funeral and then she went over and told Natalia about the services and invited her to come if she wanted. At first Natalia was resentful but Harley told her that Gus had so many friends that it wouldn’t be fair to keep everyone out. His friends in blue deserve closure. Harley orders his casket and arrangements as Gus’ wife.

 

Olivia knows that her new heart came from Gus. She grieves for Gus and refuses to live without him. Nothing is pulling her out of this depression. Her brother, Sam, makes it into town. He tries to make her smile but she can’t. She is taking all of her frustrations out on Ava. She wants everyone to leave her alone but they won’t. Ava has some errands to run.

 

She meets up with Bill. They talk about her being pregnant. He wants proof that the baby is his. Ava tells him that she had it confirmed at Cedars and she knows that the baby is his. Bill still doesn’t believe it. He goes home to Lizzy so he can tell her about the baby.

 

During the celebration of Gus’s life at Company Harley goes upstairs to splash some cold water on her face. She looks up to see Gus standing there. He tells her how nice she planned everything. Harley begins to weep as she tells him that she can’t do this. Gus reassures her that she will get through. Just then Buzz knocks on the door to check on Harley. She looks back and Gus is gone. She slowly opens the door and goes downstairs with him to continue celebrating.

 

Daisy meets up with Sam. She tells Sam how Rave broke up with her and now she is all alone. They share a kiss. Sam talks her into taking a semester off from college to go tour Paris. Then she can come back to Springfield to continue her education. Sam goes back to the hospital to tell Olivia that he is leaving but he will be back. Olivia starts to cry and tells him to take care.

 

Cyrus gets a call from the funeral home. Her card was not good and they need another way to pay for the funeral arrangements. Cyrus reassures him that he will get the money to cover Gus’ funeral arrangements as soon as possible.

 

Harley and Cyrus go back home to fix up the house in memory of Gus. Cyrus suggests that they start with the sheetrock that needs to be replaced. Harley has her hammer ready. Cyrus goes into another room and Harley takes her claw hammer and begins to tear off the sheet rock. She tears a piece out only to find that Gus had painted a red heart on the wall behind it. Harley’s breath is taken away as she finds it. Gus starts to talk to her about how he was quite the romantic. Harley tells him again that she don’t think that she can do it. Gus tells her that she can. She walks back to the heart and turns around to say something to Gus but he is gone. She takes a black marker and writes, “Harley Loves Gus!” and then applies white tape over it to cover it. Daisy sneaks up behind her and hugs her. Daisy wants to help with the redecorating but Harley tells her that she needs to go out and do something fun. But Daisy insists that Gus would tell her to stay there and help her. While working Cyrus, Daisy and Harley decide to pick up some things at the store, including ice cream. Harley goes out to get it but first she goes upstairs to get cleaned up. She is on the floor when Gus appears again. This is his last time. He tells her that she will be okay and now he has to go. Harley tells him that she doesn’t want him to go. Gus looks at Harley and tells her that he loves her. Harley tells Gus that she loves him too and he is gone.

 

Harley gets ready and leaves. Daisy takes this opportunity to tell Cyrus that he doesn’t have to stick around and he doesn’t have to worry about blackmailing her because her and Rave broke up so they won’t be handing out fake ID’s to anyone. Cyrus tells her that he has been giving it some thought and he knows that she was just doing it to help Harley out because Harley has no money coming in so he introduced himself as her new partner. She can continue to sell fake ID’s and he will help. Daisy is in shock.

 

Natalia goes in to visit Olivia. She tells Olivia that she has everything now, including a piece of Gus. Olivia tells her that she doesn’t want it. She didn’t want Gus to die but Natalia tells her that Gus’ heart is all that they have left and she will not lose Gus completely.
