Guiding Light Tuesday

A quick note: I know that it seems as though this is the only soap that I post on. I promise to post more on others I just had to get out what happened to Gus.

When GL came on it showed Rave checking the fluids in his car, Buzz was running his restaurant, and Cyrus was putting on the gutter at Harleys’ house. Gus’ voice could be heard as he was making one final round to everyone before he left. He was talking to Rave about the fact that there was so many things that he wanted to teach him. He told Cyrus that he never got around to finishing Harley’s house but he is glad that Cyrus is taking care of it. He also talked about how he admired Buzz because he was a strong person. Then Gus said “Goodbye Springfield” and he died.

Natalia and Harley were with him when he died. Rick came to Natalia later on to tell her that she signed a donor paper for Gus and he wanted to know if she wanted to donate any of Gus’ organs. Rick told her that only she could make that decision. She had 4 hours to decide on a heart and 72 hours on a kidney. Natalia goes home.

At her and Gus’ new home she goes to the phone to play back the messages. It was Gus. He told her that he was going to the hospital because they called over Olivia’s heart. He hoped that she understood and would be back home soon. Natalia breaks down and begins to cry. She later went back to the hospital where Rick is standing. He tells her that the heart is a positive match for Olivia. Natalia didn’t say anything and walks into the room where Gus is still being held until she decides. She walks up to Gus and tells him that she just can’t do this. She goes on to say that Olivia has taken him away enough and she couldn’t do this. If it wasn’t for Olivia he wouldn’t have raced over to the hospital and got into an accident. She kisses him and walks out where she sees Emma. She tells Natalia that she is going to take some flowers to her mommy. She asked Natalia if she wanted one and hands her an orange flower. She runs back into Gus’ room to tell him that she would do it. She tells Rick. Meanwhile…

Jeffrey is in the room with Olivia where she is slowly slipping away. She wakes up every once in a while to ask Jeffrey how Gus is. The specialist comes by to tell Jeffrey and Ava that they need an act of God to save her now. Ava goes to check on Gus but she sees Natalia, Rave, and Harley all crying and she runs to his room where she sees that he has died. She runs back to the room where she looks at Jeffrey. He now knows.

Harley goes back home where she has the boys dropped off. She tells them that they are going to need to help her paint the outside to help Gus out. She eventually tells them about Gus and they cry. She is holding them when Frank, Buzz, and Cyrus come by to be with her. She hugs Frank and Buzz and then ignores Cyrus. She goes into the house to talk to Buzz and breaks down. Buzz tells her that she is going to live each day like she always does. Frank and Buzz help the boys to paint the fence but then Frank tells them that they need to do something else for Gus. He suggests that they draw pictures and writes stories of what they remember of Gus. Frank asked them what they wanted to do with this book when it was done? Zack said that he wanted to give the book to Rave since he didn’t get the chance to know Gus like they did.

Alan finds out about his son. He rushes to the hospital but it is too late. Alan is in shock when Harley tells him that no amount of money in the world will bring him back. Harley leaves. Later, Alan buys him a bottle to drink away his sorry. Beth tries to comfort him but Alan didn’t want her there.

Dinah bought Spaulding Mansion and is now signing the papers. When she is done she couldn’t wait to go over and dance on Alan’s desk. She called Mallet and the officer told her what happened to Gus. Dinah hangs up the phone to go and look for him. She found him drinking a beer with the officers in memory of Gus.

Natalia tells Rave that Olivia is getting Gus’ heart. Rave didn’t want it but Natalia reassured him that it is the right thing to do.

Daisy comes by to see Rave at the hospital and apologize for his loss. Rave told her that he had to go find his mom. Daisy wants to go with him but Rave said no. He finally told her that the accident was his fault. Daisy tried to convince him that he was not at fault but Rave wouldn’t listen to her. Rave told her that he was out with her selling fake ID’s when he was suppose to be helping Gus move his mom’s stuff to their new home. Rave walks away.

They come in to get Gus and wheeled him into Olivia’s room where she lay unable to wake up. Is it too late for her new heart?
